Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help detect spam.

An anonymized string (hash) may be created from your email address and provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. Gravatar’s privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy.

Once your comment is approved, your profile picture (if available) may be visible publicly in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to your member profile or as part of a story submission, please avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors to the site may be able to download and extract location data from images posted on public pages.

Cookies

If you leave a comment, you may opt-in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies. These cookies are for your convenience so that you do not have to re-enter your details when posting again. These cookies last for one year.

When you visit the login or registration pages, we set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. It contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

Community and Membership Data

You can view, edit, or delete most of this information anytime from your member dashboard (except your username). Site administrators can also view and edit this data.

Submit Your Story

If you submit a personal or professional story to be published, your submission may include your name, biography, photo, and contact information. We may display this publicly based on your consent and the context of your story. You retain the right to request edits or removal at any time.

Who We Share Your Data With

If you request a password reset, your IP address is included in the reset email.

We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Some data may be shared with service providers (like email delivery or spam protection tools) strictly for platform functionality.

How Long We Retain Your Data

Comments and their metadata are retained indefinitely for moderation and continuity.

For registered members, all profile data is retained as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account, your data will be removed except where retention is required for legal, security, or administrative reasons.

What Rights You Have Over Your Data

If you have an account or have interacted with the platform (e.g., submitted a story, commented, or registered), you can request a file of the personal data we store, including any data you provided. You may also request that we delete your data.

This excludes any information we are required to retain by law.

Visitor comments and form submissions may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

Retain full ownership of your original work and may request its removal or edits at any time.
Are solely responsible for the accuracy and originality of your submissions.

11. Monetization Policies

Hparadisu may generate revenue through sponsored content, affiliate links, featured placements, brand partnerships, and premium services. When we do:

Affiliate links may earn the platform a commission if users make a purchase, but recommendations are based on relevance, not compensation.
No user content will be monetized without the creator’s consent.

12. Brand Collaboration Terms

Hparadisu occasionally partners with select brands that align with our values of ambition, integrity, and creativity. As a user or member, you may:

Be invited to participate in brand campaigns, product features, or interviews.
Be featured on behalf of a brand if you opt in and meet eligibility criteria.

All collaborations:

Require full transparency and participant consent.
Will not alter or misrepresent your views or identity.
Will never involve the sale of your personal data.

13. Mentorship Guidelines

Mentors on Hparadisu are experienced professionals who have voluntarily committed to guiding Learners or Professionals in their career or personal development. By participating as a Mentor, you agree to:

Offer honest, constructive guidance in good faith.
Respect boundaries and never solicit or pressure mentees.
Not use your position to promote unrelated services or gain financially from mentees unless clearly agreed upon and disclosed.

Mentees are responsible for:

Respecting the mentor’s time and availability.
Approaching advice with an open mind while retaining responsibility for their own decisions.

We reserve the right to remove mentors or mentees who violate these principles or behave unethically.
